Additional Resources for Food Access
We are honored to have a part in providing vital services to our community, and we are grateful that community members quickly secured orders for the Holiday Edition of the Harvest Hub Meal Box through this new program expansion. Our team is excited to meet community members with orders at the distribution event this Saturday.
The Holiday Edition of the Harvest Hub Meal Box ran out of stock in less than three hours after our marketing campaign started. We recognize this is one small contribution toward combating food and nutrition insecurity in Garrett County. Our commitment to serve our community in innovative ways remains steadfast and we are excited for more developments on the way to address this and other social determinants of health.
For those still in need this season, our friends from the Western Maryland Food Council put together a brochure of food resources. We digitized that brochure and added geospatial maps so that community members could have increased access to resources on their mobile and other devices. Vist our website at GarrettCountyFood.com to learn more (https://garrettcountyfood.com/food-access-brochure/) and stay tuned for further updates as more components of Go! Garrett County Plus (Go!+) go live during the months of December and January.

The GarrettCountyFood.com website also has helpful information about enrollment in other programs and community resources, such as SNAP and WIC for both Maryland and West Virginia residents. We thank our partners for their unwavering support and dedication in helping grow the Garrett County Community Food Network!
